About

After retirement, I needed something to occupy my mind, and it was suggested photography might be a worth a try. I have never thought of myself as being in any way artistic, even though I come from an artistic family, both musically and in visual arts. I am the analytical introvert now discovering my artistic side.

The beginning of this photographic journey has really opened my eyes to the world we live in. I have become fascinated with light and how it interacts with the landscape and everything within it, now seeing things I would have never noticed previously.

In the broader landscape images, I try to portray how I saw and felt in those moments. Should you visit these locations, you may not see or feel the way I have portrayed them.

As the philosopher David Henry Thoreau said, “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
